Hot Jinners

Joshua Homme

John Mclean

Joshua English

Ok, that explains everything, right?

UPDATE: Hmm, Mr English seems to have removed all up-close pics of him from his munterspace and replaced them with ones of him hanging out his washing. This is marginally better. Anyhow: scary, skinny, ginger ,heavily-tattooed young man singing delicate acoustic songs. Oh, yes.

  • Good to know there are girls out there who like ginger boys. One of my worries about having kids is having a boy with red hair who'll go through life as an outcast. Seriously.

  • John McLean: co-writer of the Beta Band rap? Exiled to (the very good live) 'The Aliens'.

If he's a Jinner, I'll have two please.

  • I have no problems with ginger, although I've never actually *done* one.

I had a fancy for a real-life jinner too but it didn't last (more about that when I get around to it).

    Anon, the very one.

  • Josh Homme is a God. Or maybe God.

I saw him on the telly for the first time playing with the Screaming Trees (additional guitars on Jools Holland), then live with Kyuss and QOTSA. the man has serious presence.

  • I think you've forgotten someone........Julian Rhind Tutt, anyone? (Cue stampede of women who ought to know better......)

  • Joshua...you could lose an eye on that nose. he had the sense to be heavily tattooed though, and that makes up for the inevitable carroty pelt. voice of experience, here.

  • ...general experience. not joshua experience. although...

  • That sort of auburn hair is alright. Hmm, I've just realised that I've only ever ended up with dark haired and green eyed men ... a sign of narrow mindedness on my part?

  • Methinks you've been beaten to it with Joshua Anglais, mon cheerie armour. Seems they do a song called 'Little Betty'.

    Hmmmm.......wonder if Geoff knows??

  • Gosh Riddled, I wouldn't have put you down as a rocker what with your scarves and everything.

Anyhow the whole reason I wanted to talk about jinners a few weeks ago is that I fancied one in Real Life.

But I've gone off him now. Why? Because I met someone else since and I like him now instead.

I am so ridiculously monogomous that I can't even fancy two blokes at the same time...

  • yes, constantly avoiding pigeon-holes, me. I actually have quite eclectic music taste, but dominated by rock, punk and country. I hero-worship Mark Lanegan, Jeffrey Lee Pierce and the like. Also mad about Townes Van Zandt, Uncle Tupelo, Paula Frazer and that lot.

trying to remember when I mentioned my scarves here... but fitting with them, I've recently been listening to Au Revoir Simone on repeat...

  • i'm such an idiot.

i thought jinners was just what you were calling someone who's name began with J.

  • ginger... not ginger... I think the most important things are inside... If a person is nice, you can always change his hair colour...
