More nauseating romantic news from the blogosphere

As if all this inter-blogging copping-off wasn't bad enough, Billy's gone and joined in as well.

For fuck's sake.

(Bitter, twisted and wildly envious - me?)

  • If it's any compensation, all these gooey, lovesick bloggers end up making me feel the same way I did when my best friend and ally in spinsterness was gloatingly talking about how she had finally met her soulmate and they were just so compatible and she was so happy that she didn't have the time to see me over Christmas.

And I've been bloody married for about thirty thousand years.

  • sickening.

Mind you, I'm not sure I'm capable of having a relationship any more given that I wigged out completely after that recent date.

By Blogger GreatSheElephant, at 9:21 PM

  • It's all terribly nauseating, isn't it?

What i wouldn't give to be nauseating everyone too.

Well, actually, I'm not sure what i wouldn't give.

But anyway, good luck to him.

In a miserly, bah humbug sort of way

  • ps Spin, why so quiet recently?

By Blogger the whales, at 11:33 PM

  • ....am I alone here in thinking:

    Whalester > Spinster

    Spinster > Whalester

  • W - a frantic, and frankly unprecedented combination of being incredibly with work, family and social life.

Speaking of which, I'm off out now (on a school-night and everything).

    Don't worry, I'm sure it won't last.

Bob - even though I know he's not, I can't help thinking that Whales is a girl. It's the non-gender-specific name and pretty blue ata...ava...picture.

By Blogger Spinsterella, at 6:00 PM

  • And...

does anyone know why I can comment on my own blog, and one or two others, but most of them just don't work at the minute???

By Blogger Spinsterella, at 6:01 PM

  • Spins whales is definately a bloke and single.
You can't post because of bloody bloody beta upgrade which I did and stopped anyone commenting. You have to upgrade I think because you can't go back to ordinary blogger once you've done it.

As for all the blog love, how long before the first Mills And Boon blogbuster hits the shelves?

By Blogger realdoc, at 7:55 PM

  • i totally share your disgust.

It's not supposed to be that way. It's virtual people!! v.i.r.t.u.a.l.

uurrghh.. some people just don't get it.

By Blogger treespotter, at 8:31 PM

  • I can comment realdoc and I haven't upgraded.

Where does the whales live by the way? Is he closer to bristol or London? Just wondering

By Blogger GreatSheElephant, at 10:04 PM

  • It is indeed sickening, and enough to make one green (possibly with envy).

By Blogger Who is this Dave?, at 9:46 AM

  • I'll join you in resentful envy of them.

By Blogger looby, at 10:58 AM

  • *blushes* Well I've halved the vomit-inducingness of it by NOT copping off with a fellow blogger. That'd have been worse.

By Blogger Billy, at 12:44 PM

  • first the crocodile hunter, now billy...all the good ones are gittin gotten.

By Blogger First Nations, at 5:02 PM

  • Ner ner nee ner ner to all of you. Blogging romances rule! (Although technically, I wasn't a blogger when I met LC.)

By Blogger Homer, at 5:47 PM

  • Yes, but lurkers are kind of proto-bloggers, no? They're certainly not NON-bloggers. If you read blogs, and if you comment, you're (almost) one of us.

And Slurker, you were jsut on a blogging hiatus, if I remember rightly...

By Blogger Spinsterella, at 7:57 PM

  • I was about to say, in a really whiny voice, 'alright, it's not like I go on about it', but then I realised I probably do. Sorry.

Although, in my defence...no, wait, I have nothing to say in my defence.

    I concede defeat.

By Blogger patroclus, at 11:06 AM

  • the whales appears to have gone. worrying - he sounded even more depressed than me.

By Blogger GreatSheElephant, at 12:32 PM

  • Not gone, just knackered. But tomorrow's a training day, so no work for me tonight and the depression can get lost. Off down the pub to have a few. Hurrah!

By Blogger the whales, at 5:21 PM

  • ps - the pretty blue pic. Amazing what you can do with two bits of yellow card and a bonkers book.

Not sure i've ever been called a girl before, though.
