Normal service resumes.

Well, that was all very interesting, informative and intellectual. But as it would be impossible for a girl of little brain like myself to maintain that sort of standard I'd better get back to rubbish stories about exes and moaning about not having a boyfriend pretty quick.

So, the question for today is:

I quite fancy David Platt off of Corrie.

Is this very, very wrong?

  • Wow I'm first. Yes. Very wrong. Have you had an eye test lately? Are you feeling alright? My word verification is jawgh - shorthand for jaw dropping aghast!

  • I just did a Google search to find a pic of him, and assuming I found the right fella (or should I say boy?) then I have to tell you, taking an unhealthy interest in minors is frowned upon in this society (that's "minors", not "miners" - rough-hewn, coaldust-encrusted men are considered legitimate targets for healthy young women). Having said this, I have no idea how old you are. Maybe you're around 14 years old.

  • He's not a boy any more.

    He's 18. And a half.

(I googled too but all I could find was pics from when he was about 13. Which made me feel a bit sick. He's all grown up and surly now.)

  • I really have to re-assess my writing style. I was kidding, 'onestly. I'm sure you have impeccable taste in men, at least regarding the law. And by the way, I knew you were older than 14. It's your site you know, a dead give-away - like with most grown-ups it has a minimalist style, rather than being jammed to the hilt with flashing stuff, and the background strains of an angst-ridden female singing about lost love.

  • What do I know I fancy Tom Waits and all of McFly.

  • "all of McFly"

What, all at the same time?

And returning to the actual original point, him personally or the character?

  • i cant watch coronation street. i watch it, and then i talk like that for a couple of hours afterward. which isnt necessarily a bad thing but it makes my dogs look at me wierd.
you go ahead and like him. I'm sure he likes you too.

  • Spinny - he loooks a bit in-bred to me.

  • I would say 'yes' but I'm in no position to comment really . . . I have a huge crush on Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter). Have I said too much?!

  • David's had a deeper voice than Tom Waits ever since his 11th birthday.

He's also morphing into his mother, or is it vice versa?

  • who of what now? no idear. post photos.

    flt: yes.

  • now. if you'd said richard fleeshman (craaaaig, a perfectly legitimate seventeen) then we could have said no more about it.

as it is, i now fear i must join you in "teenage soap star lust shame". after all. i am sixteen years older than the fleeshman. just because you're older, doesn't make it right.

  • I once muttered a slovenly "phoar" to myself (in a Carry On type of way) whilst stuck at the traffic lights in my car. I saw THE most handsome man I've ever seen in my life posting a letter into a box. Until I realised he was in school uniform and then got back into his Mummy's car. Aagh! I blushed with shame.

  • Oh no Spinsterella! No, he's creepy. Very creepy!

I'm with Geoff, the voice is so deep, it's scary.

By Blogger Heather, at 12:00 AM

  • Oh, maybe it's the deep voice that's doing it. And the accent. I forgot to mention the accent.

And yes, Craig is along the same lines as David, but he's so nice. Whereas David is EVIL.

CB - just watch Corrie, it's on pretty much every night. It's quite good really.

  • I don't know about Corrie, but the other day in M&S I saw one of those kids with those funny emo haircuts, and found myself thinking 'oo, he's cute'. Which combined with my fondness for Seth from the OC (he's older in real life!) makes me terribly worried that I've somehow become some kind of predatory hag.

Still, at least I'm not the only one!

  • At least he wasn't in school uniform!
