I'm off festivaling again. (Have you seen where it is? It's fucking miles away!)

So, continuing the theme of 'Everybody else is getting some, why can't I?', I believe that young
lc is going to be spilling the beans about his sordid slurking affair-turned-relationship sometime soon.

I'd lurk over there, if I were you. All much more interesting than me blethering on about how nobody wants to go out with me.

  • Spiny, I hardly know ya! Don't leave me before we get better aquainted ;-)

    Have a good one.

    (And enjoy the festival too..)

  • After my divorce I had moments like yours. I can remember slogging home from work one day, head down, and thinking that really, I should just face it, the juices had dried up. I wasn't even very interested anymore. Somewhere, way deep down, my body was listening and said "HAH!"

At work the next day I suddenly became, shall we say, "aware" of someone. It was like being physically hit with something. All of a sudden this guy, who I'd never been interested in before, made me dizzy just by walking within a few feet of me. Suddenly I was interested in something other than my own sadness. Suddenly I was flirting. Going out, meeting people, including my current husband (who no, wasn't THAT guy, but had pretty much the same effect.)

What I'm trying to say here is that sometimes when you're lonely, the world seems to close in and you can't really see what's around you. You forget that this moment (even if the "moment" lasts a few weeks or months or a couple of years) isn't going to be forever. Keep telling yourself that. It's true.

  • Feel very envious of your festival visit. In fact I based my latest post around it - hope that's OK and that you had fun.

  • Woohoo, I'm back.

Don't worry, I have no plans to wind down this blog.

It's only going to stop when I run out of stories about crap ex-boyfriends and all the men who don't want to go out with me (and there is an unending supply of the latter).

    Or when I get married.

    I wouldn't hold your breath.

Next exciting installment - Spinsterella TALKS to a fit bloke!!!

  • latitude eh? i hope you waved when you went past my house (which you did - by about half a mile) on the way....

we didn't go as it looked a bit, well, smug. i bet it wasn't tho and you had a great time.

  • Oh my god! I think we met! How bizarre.

By Blogger Loganoc, at 10:54 AM

  • Um, yes, I think we probably did.

I had sort of figured out that it was you beforehand, but I wasn't 100% sure.

But I thought I'd better keep my moth shut (because I'm dead shy, really)

Weird, eh? The world is avery small place..

  • Hehehe! How dozy am I! Still getting used to the idea that there's real people on the internet, I guess.
