Ex-Boyfriend Story # 1

Although I stayed at his flat virtually every night, he wouldn't let me have a drawer. Christ, I wasn't trying to move in by stealth, I just got fed-up lugging my knickers and mascara around in my bag. And he had two sock drawers, half-full of old socks which had belonged to his ex-girlfriend's dead brother. She had offered his underpants as well, but he turned them down, because:

"that would be weird".

That would be weird?

  • I think I missed the boat at a critical juncture in my last done and over relationship several years ago. Oddly it was the opposite situation than that you describe. She asked me several times to bring clothes over, more than the one or 2 changes I had. I was reluctant and from recollection remember saying "yeah, ok," but never following up on it and really not having any intention to do so. Looking back over my shoulder I believe she was testing me for permenance, I further believe if she had been patient-since I truly loved the woman-I would have come around but it had to be on my terms or at least a pair polemic drawn out to find the areas for comprimise and flexibility. We both failed there, hence, we are no more.

  • Spinsta, sounds like what I had with Prof Snotty...just got tired of hauling my crap up to his place two counties away for fuck's sake! I didn't want to move in...just needed a bit of convenience because he never stayed at my place.

And sorry - my personal British invasion has been so fun, but now, by virtue of your invasion, you've been invaded by clueless Yanks...sorry.

Hippo...I had no idea you could be so introspective. What a guy you are ;-)

  • Yup, the leaving-stuff-at-his/her-place is indeed a BIG STEP. Though often unnoticed by the males of the species...

I'm loving the Yank invasion BTW!

  • Just seen your blog. Really great. I'll come back again!
I have a Wedding Photography Northampton site/blog. It pretty much covers Wedding Photography Northampton related stuff.
Come and have a look sometime :-)

  • Hey, you have a great blog here! I'm definitely going to bookmark you!

I have a spa site/blog. It pretty much covers
    spa related stuff.

Come and check it out if you get time :-)

  • Oh the irony of your Spinster blog being spammed by a wedding photography site :-)

By Blogger Miss Meep, at 2:17 PM

  • That wasn't mean to sound 'smug married', BTW

By Blogger Miss Meep, at 2:17 PM

  • spinsta - I was thinking the same thing emma said, and I'm not even smug married.

I prefer to be smug single ;-)

and now these spommitting fuckwits are getting profiles they don't show so they can get around those who don't take anon comments...*sigh*

  • I'm not about to get married any time soon (as you all may have noticed). But if I do, it's kinda unlikely to happen in Northampton.

I also don't like saunas, massage, steam rooms, beauty products or jacuzzis. And I'm poor. So therefore not terribly interested in spas either.

  • If we can't spam you with wedding photography or spas what sort of thing can we spam you with?

Are you in the market for a timeshare?
